In the 1980s Ah-Nold Schwarzenegger had to decide between marrying Brigitte Nielsen of "Red Sonja" movie and Maria Shriver, a Shriver-Kennedy. He brilliantly pawned Brigitte off on his archrival Sly Stallone and married the Kennedy. But he seems happiest with his son w/maid. https://twitter.com/SidPolitics/status/1040935721102712834 …

No, it was a friend of mine.

So here's an example of a false memory I had: My memory was that
@gcochran99 had told me that Arnold Schwarzenegger was his landlord in the early 1980s, but my memory skipped a step - Arnold was Greg's friend's landlord - to make the anecdote slightly less boring and inane. -
Brian __, optical designer, Rochester graduate, friend. Security building, bars on the windows. I was over at his place a time or two and actually saw Arnold in the lobby once.
-
So in my memory I just dropped all the intermediate connections about this Brian person and remembered the anecdote as "Long ago, Arnold Schwarzenegger was Greg Cochran's landlord." I suspect that's my most common kind of false memory: tidying up details for a punchier anecdote

I talked with a former Romanian bodybuilder. He said it's a full-time job that pays nickels, so you need a real job on top of it. Arnold became legitimately rich from real estate while becoming a body building champion. Definitely not a "low energy Jeb" kind of guy.
