19th Century physical anthropologists often assumed, understandably, that Melanesian Pacific islanders with black skins and wooly hair must be long-lost close relatives of sub-Saharan Africans, but later changed their minds as evidence piled up. Race is not equal to looks.https://twitter.com/Joe128Camel/status/1034971723932868608 …

Omg Papuans and some other isolated populations like Andamanese can be mistaken for black Africans 😴

This is likely a case of convergent evolution, as conditions in both locations favored the emergence of these traits. Not surprising once you realize that evolution shapes humans, as it does for all other life forms.

Probably same with some Finno-Ugric peoples having epicanthic folds like E Asians

No that's a different case. Finno-Ugrians have East Eurasian blood (up to 70% in Nganansans), Melanesians don't have Negroid blood.

Race isn't equal to looks, but phenotype is one overall condition. The rest are deriving from a distinct geographic location and sharing common ancestry. This eliminates PIs as part of the "black" race.https://notpoliticallycorrect.me/2018/08/29/three-arguments-for-the-existence-of-race-establishing-population-groups-as-races/ …

And, if you could get close enough, you'd see major differences in their bone structure vs Africans

If one truly cherished the different races & cultures, the last thing they would do is mandate a government enforced mixing....To me, liberals are the most prejudice people of all....Wanting everyone to be just like them, because they are impatient gods....
