If we're going to have affirmative action at all, it should be limited to two groups of people: (1) descendants of American slaves and (2) members of American Indian tribes. You might have to play around a bit with the number of ancestors to qualify for the first category.

Right. Indian tribes self-police their own numbers because they get finite race-based benefits (e.g., one casino per tribe). Thus, Cherokees won't let Sen. Warren in just on her say-so, and even periodically kick out dubious members of the tribe to maximize size of slice of pie
