According to this chart best places to live well are in nice towns close to larger “Rust Belt” cities. You can still have a good salary, good amenities without the exorbitant housing costs. I was surprised Texas was in the negative. Probably due to large amounts of low wage labor

That’s what I’ve heard. Also the traffic has gotten horrendous from what I understand. Even in places like Naples.

The South is an exception to this somewhat because affordable family formation is limited for White parents paying more to send their kids to private schools due to the South’s substantial black population.
