Everyone everywhere always needs more diversity. We can never rest until every spot on the world's surface is as diverse as a Van Nuys strip mall. https://twitter.com/theunderton/status/1024107158516903941 …

Another thing is that the pro-Diversity crowd's main experience of diversity is college, where the representatives of the world's cultures were carefully selected. This process was not followed in Van Nuys.
-
It's easy to think diversity is a good idea when all you've known of it are the handful of high-IQ outliers you took sociology 101 with.
-
Those outliers also tend to drink the diversity kool-aid the hardest, probably because it's easier on their psyches than being truthful about the real source of the relative lack of achievements in their origin communities vs those of their white-built host societies.
-
Furthermore, being honest about the potential (or lack thereof) of your ethnic peer group might make it harder for your less-capable family members to enjoy the trappings of the USA.
-
Which is why you get the wonderful paradox of "there's nothing wrong with people from [insert country], which is why I'm so desperate to get my Nana away from the rest of them!"
