My Senegalese-born Lyft driver. "Sir, I have just become an American citizen. What advice do you have for me?" "Remember that you are every bit as much a citizen as much as I am, or the descendant of someone who came over on the Mayflower. And vote." "I love this country."

Why can’t the Jews just use their own early arrival in Newport, RI, New York City, and Charleston, SC as slave traders as a point of Judeo-American ethnic pride and move on?
-
I mean think about it. 1654 in NYC, 1658 in Newport, 1695 in Charleston. Pretty early! Just embrace your slavetrading co-religionist pioneer American settler-colonists and move on from Mayflower WASP envy already!

It’s implying actual ethnic Americans have no special ethnic identity and thus no special claim to their own country, vs. say, some recent drifter/grifter from some 3rd world shithole who weaseled his way in.
-
So your positions are only the people who came over on the mayflower are real Americans ?
-
Americans whose ancestors were here at the country’s founding have an entirely different claim to this country than those who descend from recent immigrants. They are natives, it is to them that the words “ourselves and our posterity” are addressed.
-
Does this include those descended from slaves ?(genuine question , in curious )
