Global #map of PISA scores in #math #science and #reading. The US ends up on a ridiculous 31st place and can be very glad that their universities and big firms import talent from abroad. In our knowledge driven service economy education is crucial! Source: https://buff.ly/2Nikq4e pic.twitter.com/D70jPAH0GH

Actually, white American 15-year-olds do rather well on the international PISA school achievement test. USA's score dragged down by Hispanics and blacks, but our Hispanics outscore all Latin American countries and our blacks outscore all black countries. http://www.unz.com/isteve/2015-pisa-mean-scores-in-perspective/ …pic.twitter.com/TCbgzNphwV

The two biggest surprises in PISA are how well White Americans perform, and how poorly Israelis. Maybe because the Media’s bent on having people think how the former’s stupid and latter’s superior.pic.twitter.com/sR3pn4y2n5

Also, it looks like China is still selectively reporting. Let's throw in a few tens of millions of rural Chinese for a better look.

If not for those tens of millions rural Chinese China would be on top of the chart.

Yes, results usually look better when you disallow all the bad ones.

Suggestive, but for comparison purposes you also need to separate out subgroups in other countries, too. Germany’s Turkish population is significant, as is France’s black population, particularly for schoolchildren.
