According to a 2013 survey, which @mathieugallard told me about (http://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/1077699018778242 …), only 7% of journalists are Jewish. Jews are still overrepresented, and it's probably more in some media, but I doubt this is what people who think Jews control the media would've expected.pic.twitter.com/mHJUgjdMBN

These figures are similar to those in Lerner et al.'s American Elites, but I wasn't able to find details on how sampling was done, so I don't know how reliable they are. That being said, I have no doubt that, among the most influential journalists, Jews are more overrepresented.

I suspect, too, that it's a matter of difference between rank-and-file journalists and the owners of media companies

Explainable by overlapping Bell curves. Sadly, success in America comes at the price of assimilation-first cultural/mental, then genetic. Expect this proportion to fall as they intermarry and their offspring regress to the American Euro Gentile mean (itself falling.)
