You’ve got some really cool friends if they got places to go at 3am.

If you live next to the Rose Bowl like my family friends do, and you had to go to the Emergency Room after a Team Mexico victory over Team USA, it might take you an hour to drive 2 miles to the hospital, while being harassed by drunken Mexicans.
-
I’ve been to many USC-UCLA games at the Rose Bowl and the long walk up to Orange Grove Blvd seemed very orderly, but Rosemont Ave is virtually impassable for motorized vehicles.

Not as bad as the riots and property destruction African Americans do when their basketball teams win or lose at major games, esp on east coast.

I get that some Mexico fans hate the US team, but the US didn't even make the cut and they're representing the region pretty well right now, so I'm rooting for them.
-
There's also plenty of gene pool commonality between the US and Mexico (~50% blanco), for your readers who care about this in their fandom.

They got Stephen Foster's statue, and now something with Laura Ingalls Wilder. Reading the lefty threads--- I've never seen them like this. They're living in another reality. Years ago I was a moderate Democrat, but these ppl now are insane. Is there even a center left to hold?

Author is Saporito... Spanish version of Sapir or Shapiro? "Kvelling" is Yiddish. If I don't watch it I might become a Man Who Notices. Don't always want to notice, but it's hard not to sometimes.

I recall, perhaps 20 years ago, when the U.S. soccer team faced the Mexican team in Los Angeles and the American players were cursed and pelted by bottles an cans filled with urine. Look it up.

Back in the late 90's it was popular for Mexicans to put those little plastic Mexican flags on their car windows. They were everywhere around Los Angeles.

Maybe Mexico fans are cheering Mexico because they love Mexico's outstanding government and politics. Or maybe it was ethnic stuff,
