Lacking vibrant diversity, 1960s British popular culture was notoriously unimaginative, hidebound, and without appeal to the rest of the world. British 1960s music, fashion, movies, and comedy were white maleish and thus boring and have been forgotten. http://www.unz.com/isteve/bbc-monty-python-too-white-privileged-for-todays-tv/ …pic.twitter.com/o2pxOjdoKf

I was in England 1960. BBC wouldn't play pop/rock at all. When Amer had a hit, there would be several British covers, seemed random which became the hit. Out of this copy cat scene, the rich British invasion exploded.

In fairness, I doubt most Americans could fill a tweet based on what they know or have seen of The Goodies.

Just follow the James Bond regression and cognitive prostitution from Dr. No to Spectre and see that the future Bond must inevitably be a binary homo-dominant tranny working for a hijab-wearing Paki M in a Brit admiral's uniform and a foot-bath and prayer rug in her halal office.

Let's discuss diversity. Are we going good bad or in between. I am going this way. Balkans, somewhat diverse massive fuck-up. Hutus and Tutsis not diverse machetes involved. North, South United States, line up and kill. Same people. What did we learn here? Shit. People kill.

The Beatles were working class. Some with Irish blood. And they were from The North. Surely they were diverse?

There's a ton of psychedelic music based on Beatles and Stones riffs, from Africa, South America, Cambodia, etc etc. Os Mutantes, one of the most celebrated, comes to mind, but there are entire compilations of this stuff by music nerds.

B/f Bono, Bob Geldoff & Live AID: Benny Hill forced those perfidious & racist Albions to turn their gaze to the problems created by their colonial legacy in Africa. BTW Benny Hill >×1000 Monty Python

Yeah, Britain was something like 97% in the 1960s, but now that that number is down to only 87%, there's no more room for white people on British TV, outside of gardening shows. That's why half the presenters are "diverse."
