Why is that ridiculous? Are Americans who speak other languages less American than you? We're a country of immigrants. You want them guessing on the ballot?

Americans who can't understand the declaration of independence & can't talk to more than 0.5% of their "fellow citizens" are just as American as everyone else? Really?

Do they have: mail in ballots where if the ballot is postmarked on election day, it's still valid? provisional ballots, where you can file a ballot on election day if you are not on the rolls? same day registration? election audits as part of the certification process?
-
Like anything else, as you add more features, things slow down. In CA, if you are accidentally dropped from the rolls, you can contest it, file a provisional ballot on election day, and your vote will be counted.
-
Like the 100,000+ voters incorrectly dropped from the rolls in LA. Those voters can still vote provisionally, and an investigation and resolution will be done for each of those votes before the election is certified. So it takes a while to certify an election. in CA.
-
As someone who was dropped from the rolls due to a mixup a few years ago, and only found out about it on election day when I went to my polling place, I'm glad I was able to vote provisionally and that my vote was counted, rather than being told "too bad, better luck in 2 years."

In TX the ballots are bilingual, when I told this to my friend from Poland she simply did not understand why any country or any of its localities would issue a ballot in a language other than the one the majority of voters spoke.
-
You want people guessing on their ballots? Should a Polish immigrant not be allowed a ballot in polish? Just because another American doesn't speak English yet doesn't mean they're less American than you.

The obvious principle here is that a ballot should not be issued in any other language other than the one government business is conducted in, i.e., in English only, and the idea that enforcing this is "racist" must be strongly pushed back against.
-
It's not racist it's just really stupid to give legal voters a ballot they don't understand. Why would we do something stupid like that?

You're not being fair. Many countries start counting votes before the election so it only seems like a few days. Also America has more votes to count; illegal aliens, dead people, etc.
