I took a lot of anthropology courses in university and I can attest to the fact that studying primates gives you a lot of insight into human behaviour.

Thing is we could all of us likely learn a lot from each other if we each didn't think we have a monopoly on the truth.

....& perhaps the biggest reason that psychology is not further on is because of Descartes' dualism theory which still prevails to a certain degree today.

Agree 100%. The field of psychology would be exponentially improved if Jaak Panksepp’s ethological research was taught to all undergrads. Instead of the social constructivist nonsense they teach currently.
