But #4 is the essence of pseudoscience. Removing peer review in science would be a major set-back. It is not a gold standard, but it is also the main mechanism for retractions and corrections. Pinker is a "thought leader" now, writes book for money & masses not science. Fight me.

5 and 6 are nonsense. 5 includes pretty much any groundbreaking scientific discovery and 6 includes anything before modern academia.

I don't think you get it - anecdotal evidence is a fine start, but then you add a case study, case series, pilot study and BOOM you have a body of evidence in th peer reviewed literature.
