This is probably the best illusion I've ever seen. The blue and red lines are all the same length; none is moving or changing size, and they’re all at the same level. Only the arrowheads are moving. https://www.giannisarcone.com/Muller_lyer_illusion.html …pic.twitter.com/V6KrmLkiPr

Great illusion. Here is a favorite of mine to add to this sweet collection.https://twitter.com/mandardhulubulu/status/1044241974532952064?s=21 …

If you look at the left image, all 3 images will rotate clock wise!! But if you look at the right image, all 3 images will rotate anti-clock wise! Fantastic illusion... 😳 pic.twitter.com/xjgxxjAns6

Tbh, even on a 1080p monitor, if i locate my mouse pointer, the lines seem to extend and retract, on a 4k monitor, i suspect it would be more obvious. I'm open to further explanation, but I'm unconvinced.

It’s all true! It’s only our poorly wired brains that make it so hard to see through the illusion. Much more EVOLUTION is obviously needed here...!

Our “pourly wired” brain was enough to build a tool such as Twitter, and to share this ilusion, contributing to understand our own pourly wired brain. Pretty neat, eh? 😊
