Over 300 years since the Enlightenment and we've spawned a need to re-discover sex differences.

What is meant by "universal" here? Surely you aren't trying to indicate that these differences are present in every individual man and every individual woman.
-
It means the same group differences between men and women are seen all round the world.
-
I see. Thank you.

Behavior differences are always hand waved away as a byproduct of socializing males and females differently.

People need to understand that these differences are nearly universal, and some are even more pronounced in more liberal nations(such as occupation). Why? Because, when people are given equality of opportunity, natural dispositions better manifest themselves.

It's like we have to "rediscover" what we knew already from common observation down through the millennia of men and women living together... they are not equal or the same... DUH!

How many genders where there in the LGBTQ+ alphabet? How about two with diversity, instead of a multitude of those that accept none?

Taken literally, that's not true. Females are very much like males. They are both the same species. What's important is understanding the subtle ways in which they differ on average, which we've learned a lot about in the last several decades.

Are men women?
-
To be "like" something does not mean to be identical with that thing. Maybe the verse is poorly translated. Even a child knows that females and males are alike but they are not exactly the same.
-
I think you’re completely overthinking this because of some inherent bias but to each his own

Women cry more? This is a critical breakthrough! Einstein WISHES he came up with this stuff.
