One important antidote to toxic trumpism is less hate and more love. George Herbert Walker Bush is an honorable and admirable man. He is a legitimate war hero and I would hope he feels the love of the nation he has well served in his hour of grief.

You are, of course, correct, Steve. And I stand humbly admonished. Should have stated more accurately that I hated GHWB’s policies. He is, and continues to be, all that you state, and the nation shares his grief.

Good for you ! All who oppose Trump, me included , should be resolved to make sure we do not do one thing to make our Politics worse. We must be on the side of making it better. None of us are perfect but Trumpism thrives on reciprocal anger. It is decency that will kill it .
