Any infastructure plan the modern GOP would put out today would consist entirely of tax breaks to private companies to build toll roads. Nothing like Eisenhower's plan. More Rs than Ds voted for civil rights ammendments, but it's not fair to Modern GOP is racially inclusive.

Comparing parties and ideology throughout history is somewhat pointless. Labels and platforms have changed over time. Parties 100 years ago are not the same ones today.
That's ancient history, and only the same party in name. The Republican party of the late 20th and early 21st century has been nothing but destructive for the Republic.
