Steve, I think Republican politicians who won't vote for gun control should have to sit through the autopsies, help the families with funeral arrangements and stay in the home for a week doing whatever is needed. All this in exchange for their cowardice. Fair?
I’m a gun owner. We need to have a serious discussion about what to do about this national emergency. I’ll listen to any idea. There were no active shooter drills in schools when I was growing up. There is a sickness in the land and we have to talk about all of it .

I don’t see why it’s difficult. You treat guns like cars. Training, testing, and licensing. Treat weapons of war as such and limit them to military use. If you have a violent record, you can’t get a gun.

Like someone already mentioned, treat guns like cars. But in all this I have been thinking the demise of the cult in the early 80's happened when people saw the tragedy of Jim Jones. Candlelight and prayers are pretty maybe to our desensitized culture we show what really happened

2. The NRA is very powerful now and organized. I believe they are dangerously powerful to the point of being or close to being domestic terrorists. By that I mean they could organize American militia-types (the ones who think the government is coming to take their guns) fast.

I live half a block from a gun shop, learned how to shoot a rifle as a kid, grateful for any conversations on gun control. Just heard today a lawyer suggest de-incorporating the 2nd Ammendment, allowing states some powers to propose local modifications. Hmmm.
