the only way to stop this is to get the money out of politics and reinstate the Fairness Doctrine, updated to include the internet.
There is virtually no way to get the money out of politics when Congress has 90% incumbency. The Fairness Doctrine was in effect and yet Nixon won two terms, and Reagan/Bush another 12, over a 24 year period. The only way is hard: voters holding legislatures accountable.
