I would like to officially reach out to @AOC on behalf of the @ProjectLincoln in defense of democracy. We disagree on many issues and that is ok in our view. Btw, we don’t look down on waitresses. We admire them. We are all the types of guys who always tip at 50% or more.

your post was condescending and the Lincoln Project is a joke.

If it wasn’t for The Lincoln Project, Trump would have won.

Some folks are never happy. Never. I applaud this out reach. I am a 67 YO dude, lifelong D, and lean way into the AOC camp, but I see the need for a broad coalition to hold our democracy together. You are both people I greatly admire for their guts, passion & love of country.

I’m a 58 yr. old democratic who leans very heavily into the Bernie Sanders position on policy issues & always has. Yet, at this moment I’m a big supporter of
@ProjectLincoln and see the need for a broad coalition to save our nation.

I too applaud this outreach. I didn’t take your waitress reference as disrespectful. Why is everyone so angry? mistrustful? ready to throw shade? I think making “good trouble”, as
@ProjectLincoln does is the path to freedom. -
@ProjectLincoln caused no trouble for anyone on the right. They were ineffective at best, and a distracting grift at worst. Leave the late great John Lewis out of this if you don’t understand his words. - Show replies

Steve, how about just call her. On the phone. Go have some lunch and sit down and find your bridge where the both of you can work together. We have to start modeling this. We have to form these unlikely alliances and bring others into them as well. It's a good start.
-
He is modeling it. By putting his position here. You may not be aware of many private interactions he is having. Right?

Have you tried calling her on the phone? Maybe this is a convo that all of twitter doesn't need to hear. If you want to prove you're a big person, be a big person. Call the congresswoman and speak to her personally.
