  You might be interested in my book "How to Have a Better Relationship with Anybody" (Moody Publishers). The preface focuses on Eric Liddell (featured in the movie Chariots of Fire) in the 1924 Olympics in Paris and China during WW2. The first 2 chapters examine bitterness.
