75th anniversary of the unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany, in the midst of an epic crisis, we would all do well to consider what might have been if America had been led by men like Trump as opposed to FDR, Truman, Marshall, Eisenhower and Nimitz. What would have (3)

Happened if that great moment of testing had coincided with a degenerate Presidency like Trump’s? What would have happened if dishonesty, indecency, selfishness, depravity and all of Trump’s pathologies and defects were celebrated as virtuous as they are on his propaganda (4)

Networks? What would have happened if one American political party was deeply invested in conspiracy theories and rejected science and data? What would have happened if we had a President like Trump who lacks the moral, mental and intellectual fiber to lead? Thank God we didn’t.

I think the answer is clear. We would be speaking German today and the Jewish people would be wiped out.

I don't know ... maybe it has something to do with over 20 years of GOP/Republican rejection of science? Climate change, stem cell research, etc? How about Palin in '08 condemning fruit fly research? The chants of "Drill baby Drill"?

What if we imposed the entire war debt on the defeated powers, instead of instating the Marshall Plan? We ended up with allies, not crippled states yearning for revenge.

2/2 FDR knew Marshall's ethical code precluded asking for the command, which went instead to Marshall's protege, Eisenhower. FDR said he could not have slept with Marshall out of the country. @MarshallFound
