Nonsense. He should have gotten a hearing but even if gotten he’d never have been confirmed. So to say the nomination (and inevitable confirmation) of K is “illegitimate” is hysterical and insupportable and little more than ideological shilling.

Completely agree. You don’t make the rules to apply to only you and yours. McConnell stepped out of Constitutional bounds to align our Supreme Court for the extreme, thus tilting the balance of power.

It's generally been a party vs party with public opinion on SCOTUS nominations. Even Senate judiciary committee has been generally split by party based upon potential 5/4 decisions. Tilt is always hot button and generally always wil. There have been notable exceptions, but.....
