I can’t image the consequences of overturning Roe v Wade? Americans going across the border to get an abortion. Back to “coat hanger” surgical procedures. Women have a right to make this decision, if need be, with the expectation it can be a dignified lawful medical procedure.
Many more state politicians will have to run on access to abortion and birth control for women. No more Kabuki theater of running against abortion and women's health care while being backstopped by Roe. It might even become a single issue vote for many women.
Women will take to the streets in massive protests. I lived through the pre-legalized abortion years. It was ugly. Doctors went to prison for women dying.
