I remember where I was when I learned she was going to be McCain's running mate. I said to myself: "Obama just won the election." And, if I remember correctly, McCain had a lead in the polls when he, sadly, made this monumental mistake. Still greatly respect

You can draw a straight line from Palin to Trump. They appeal to same audience. Arguably, Palin planted the seed for Trump. Without Palin, Trump wouldn't have a ripe fan base.
