I think the ideals of the country are nearly perfect. Over time we have moved closer to those ideals but have miles to go. Liberal Democracy is under threat everywhere. I am worried about it. BTW. Your work with the homeless / hogs is great stuff

I agree many of the country's ideals are noble. I believe in the Constitution. But so often, the US has violated those values. Pointing that out and objecting to it isn't a sign of hatred for one's country but the opposite: a desire that it be better. Thanks again: appreciate it.

Will Glenn apologize for calling your original tweet jingoistic bullshit? Questioning whether someone loves their former country isn’t such a big deal btw (IMO) but your graciousness should be reciprocated if he was similarly impolite.
Its refreshing to see men apologize and then proceed to have an argument/disagreement without insults. We need more of this.
I think Glenn should apologize for extending the term “jingoistic” beyond its actual meaning and Steve should apologize for twice using “then” instead of “than.”
