I think this one can be left alone Steve. The Nation needed a collective “F U” to trump from one of our favorite tough guys. Have to say that the crowd’s delight and standing ovation brought me a great deal of satisfaction too!

Exactly. This is the real tell. Despite all his Trump rants, Steve FUNDAMENTALLY agrees with the underlying POLICIES of this administration (not the racist ones to be sure). He's still a Republican.
I beg to disagree Steve. Read the comments from the cult. They are entrenched in their beliefs, rarely based in reality. Meryl Streep was eloquent, and she was still criticized. If, after everything that’s happened, the ones who still support him will do so no matter what.
Sadly, I think De Niro spoke in the only language that seems to be comprehended by the person in the WH.

I think, like many of us, DeNiro is frustrated, over Trump, and just let it rip. We all feel helpless. I immediately thought about Pence, who was booed at Hamilton. DeNiro got a standing ovation.
To be clear, though, the cast of Hamilton didn't boo Pence, the audience did. The cast of Hamilton thanked Pence for coming and respectively asked him to consider the history and principals illuminated in the play.
