So, 500 out of 28 million. What percentage is that? .001%. That is a hundredth of one percent of the companies. Certainly not the $4,000 to $9,000 raise you folks advertised when you passed this deficit buster tax bill.
what about the 27 million other companies buying up their own stock or paying exec bonuses but doing nothing for their employees?
How about some spending reform.
The @SBAgov says there are nearly 28 MILLION businesses in the US. 500 is a tiny, tiny percentage. And the cost to those companies is way less than they're making in stock buybacks.
Of course, @SteveScalise you're smart enough to know this which makes your tweet total BS.
Respectfully, there was no tax reform. There were tax cuts that largely benefited the wealthiest Amaricans and corporations. However, Congress did nothing to reduce the deficit and have explicitly created a larger debt load for all Americans. #NotResponsible
@GOP Good start for sure but 500 or so out of millions of businesses? You guys should be putting pressure on companies that are saving a ton of money on taxes but doing nothing for the employees. Use the 500 that did as an example and PUSH the message.
The tax benefits to ordinary Americans are a lie, just like 90% of what Republicans say.
How many companies in the US? About 18.000.000? So that is less than 0.00003%
PLEASE stop with the GOP messaging that this is ONLY 500 publicly traded companies.
Thousands of small biz, MILLIONS of self-employed, are far happier with new tax plan.
THANK YOU @POTUS
