A top digital strategist for the Obama campaign said Facebook allowed them to use data in ways others could not because they were "on our side." I asked CEO Mark Zuckerberg about that today.pic.twitter.com/Nt8ThIQL90

Asking media and congress: Then why is this ONLY about Cambridge Analytica? Why hasn’t 2012 effort for Obama been given equal weight? (Btw👍🏻Steve).

Because the Obama admin asked for the info. You had to give permission. CA just took information. Herp derp dumbass

BS. Obama campaign used info from 50 to 80 million users, and Farcebook gave them access to way more than that. No way those millions knowingly gave permission. Maybe in the endless pages of legalese, but not with genuine user awareness.

Bravo! I was afraid nobody would ask that question! It didn’t seem to bother anybody when Obama was given data in 2008 and 2012! Now it is a problem because the conservative side did it? Facebook equals suppression of conservative content.

Because the Obama admin asked each and every user they got info from, for that info. They didn’t just take it. Are you really so stupid that you don’t the difference?

No, they asked a limited number of Obama supporters for access to their contact lists, then sucked data from every contact of said Obama supporters, whether their contact approved it or not. Huge difference. But you know that, right?

Sorry. Obama camp was given access to thousands of ppl’s data both in 2008 and 2012. Difference is you are a liberal and I am not

Not really, people found out that Schmuckerberg didn’t really “invent” FB in his dorm. It’s the baby of the CIA called “Lifelog”, given a new name and the cyborg face called “mark”. Now it’s time we remove ourselves from their network and demand they erase our info.
