A #SchumerShutdown would have real consequences for many Americans. It's time for @SenateDems to vote to keep the government open. It's as simple as that.pic.twitter.com/4ywRfhp15L

Hmm. You stayed silent while Chip languished, DACA lanquished, support for military languished, Opioid crisis etc. You are a liar & have no ethical or moral standing. You stand w bigots & against facts. You are THE biggest shithole of a person.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I was under the impression that #Republicans had #majorities in both #Houses of #Congress. Isn't there a #Republican in the #WhiteHouse too? With #Republicans in control of the #Executive & #Legislative branches, why can't they pass legislation?

You cannot blackmail dems to be complicit with the @GOP & @realDonaldTrump agenda to “whiten” America. #Dreamer #CHIP - these things matter. To over 80% of US. #GOPshutdown

You mean the #TrumpShutdown because you’re in the majority. You can’t blame anyone for a shutdown but your own party

What a joke! GOP has majorities in both houses. There are bipartisan bills in both houses of Congress that would pass easily if GOP leaders brought them to floor for vote. Do your job! Ask Ryan for a vote. Pass the bipartisan House bill. GOP will be blamed for shutdown.

You obviously have no concept of how bills are passed. Senate bills of this type need 60 votes. Period.

And the GOP doesn’t even have their own party on board. It’s all on them. They could have fixed these issues months ago.

Not all. But a measurable contribution never the less. It still takes 60 votes in the Senate which means a consensus.

No. It isn't. There was a deal that Graham and Durbin brought to Trump who said he'd sign it. Then, along comes Cotton and Perdue and it crashes and #stinkfinger blows it up too. So, since you have the WH, the Congress, the Senate, this is all on the GOP.
