Well you combined it with fix nics. You done us no favors here. Take one step forward and two steps back.
-
That is incorrect. Fix NICS is a good bill that helps enforce current laws and makes sure people who are added to the list erroneously get taken off. There is a lot of bad info out there.
-
Disagree, names will be added without due process.
-
Wrong. In fact it enforces due process by requiring judges to act within 60 days when people can be in limbo as the law stands now. It’s the opposite of what you are saying.
-
Are you sure about that? Chuck Schumer & Dianne Fienstien support the bill...so it can’t be that good lol
-
I think everyone can agree that people who should be on the list should be on the list and people who shouldn’t be on the list should be taken off it in a reasonable amount of time, if not immediately.
-
Well, of course. But it all comes down to how you define “reasonable amount of time” as well as how you define those who should be on the list. Forgive me for not having faith in the federal government to manage wrongful additions to these lists.

Here's some links to articles regarding the risks of these federal agencies reporting mass lists to NICS...which "Fix NICS" provides ~$700 million dollars to encourage. http://www.latimes.com/nation/politics/la-na-gun-law-20150718-story.html … https://www.snopes.com/social-security-recipients-barred-from-owning-guns/ … http://www.nationalreview.com/article/443487/barack-obama-gun-buyer-background-checks-seniors-denied-second-amendment-rights …https://www.nraila.org/articles/20161223/grandma-got-run-over-by-obama-ssa-finalizes-new-gun-prohibition-rule …
