What innovation, precisely, will be gained by restricting access to websites behind a paywall?
-
-
-
Obvious paywall innovations. Nice walled gardens of Internet where you pay by the hour with hidden charges and Easter eggs.
-
but are the Easter eggs more hidden fees?
-
Yes. That’s the magic.

Because a lack of regulation never leads to things like monopolies, malfeasance, corruption, or the fucking Great Depression.
-
Lack of regulation in the housing market led to the Great Recession as well
-
Absolutely. the idea that any and all regulation is a bad thing is preposterous.

I work on the web. This is a lie.

This isn't more choice, this is giving ISPs more power over what is tax payer funded technology. ISPs consistently have the worst customer service records. This is a corporate bailout that will cost us, actual people, dearly, in money and speech.

Go and ask the opinion of the IT guy and your college aged interns, I'm sure they recognize the need for net neutrality. This is only going to create slow lanes and enable businesses to selectively censor speech. Which leads me to believe that this is what you want.

I am a web developer. I make my living in this industry. You are patently wrong. Gutting net neutrality will stifle innovation and close off the internet to all but a handful of mega corps
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@ajitpaifcc Thanks for throwing up another roadblock for people trying to help themselves. Students depend on a free and open internet. Job seekers depend on a free and open internet. Teachers depend on a free and open internet. Shame. -
