Rep. Scalise, I walked to work everyday to clean hotel, so me & my husband can able to afford our bills, from higher electricity to grocery. We work so hard for little what we have. Taking more taxes to given to "healthy ppl" do not want to work is wrong...

Steve this rings inauthentic since you guys drove the deficit to over a trillion dollars.

NO ONE has proposed taking away 70% of anyone's income. See the definition of "marginal tax rate."

There is one of two possible ways this tweet happens: you are either frightfully uninformed, so much so that you should be removed as a danger to the country, or you are deliberately lying to your constituents. Which is it sir?

I’m gonna venture to guess that “your” income *above $10M*, to which this would apply, was not actually that hard to earn. I mean, it’s not like you worked an extra 5000 hours above what everyone else does to get that 11th million.

Hi. I’m one of your constituents. It’s 70% on income over than $10MM. That doesn’t apply to me. So what are you doing that will make my life better?

You are scaremongering and gaslighting as usual. The tax rate of 70% is on income over $10million. With a good accountant that will be much reduced just as corporate USA has been paying way less that the biz tax rate for years. You want working calls people to pay for it all

That’s not how marginal tax rates work, Einstein. You need a remedial economics class.
