I thought better of Bono. How disappointing.
-
“Bono, the lead singer of U2, is calling on members of Congress from both parties to demand an end to family separations at the U.S.-Mexico border. "I cannot think of a more un-American thing than warehousing children," the musician tells The Associated Press”
-
"Bono is...calling on members of Congress from both parties." Its not the Dems who put babies and children in cages.

Strongly suspect that Bono is unaware of Scalise’s homophobia..

You have to be kidding. We are caging children. I don’t even recognize my own country. And you want to gush over Bono? You people have lost your minds.
-
What do you suppose Bono came to talk to him about?
-
Who knows. But whatever it was, it was not the most important thing happening today.

@U2, we were unaware of Bono’s “unwavering support” of someone who won’t condemn separating children from parents, who denigrates LBGT folk and who seeks to remove healthcare from the working poor.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Nothing says Deep State more than celebrity worship.

Oh, I get it. Bono is now the Dennis Rodman of Ireland. Whatever works for peace. Celebrities voices worth more than the constituents. Thanks.
-
To be clear, I tend to support Bono's politics, but fear Scalise will use him for his own political end. Scalise rarely listens to constituents who oppose his views. In fact, he avoids such constituents except to mock them. But ya never know...hope springs eternal.
