Steven Phillips, MD’s posts

In 25 years of medical practice, I've never heard so many physicians casually mention in conversation how they no longer trust NIH, CDC, or FDA. If that's not a wake up call, I don't know what is.

"Why India did not allow Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine" 1. Indian regulators demanded a local safety & efficacy study. "Pfizer refused to do a local trial." 2. Pfizer wanted legal immunity from vaccine injury. India refused.

I get the feeling that we're in the midst of an awakening. That people are finally beginning to realize that there is corruption in virtually all corners of gov't & industry.

One of the smartest physicians I know said to me yesterday: "I feel trust in government and the medical/science establishment is forever shattered for a sizable and ever-growing proportion of the population." Can't say it better than that.

I'm hearing from docs from all over who are scared, keeping their heads down, & their mouths shut... ...and they're going to have to live with that when they look at their actions 10 years from now.

Covid has pulled back the curtain on widespread corruption. It's a shock for most docs as to just how deep this corruption flows. But as someone who's fought corruption on behalf of chronic Lyme patients for 25 yrs, it's no shock. But it still saddens me to the core.

I spoke to a physician friend today about a teenager who died from a rapid onset neurologic illness of unknown cause. It was a somber conversation. I've never seen anything like this in all my years of practice. We're experiencing an unprecedented shift in our societal health.

Just heard from an MD friend, that his good friend, also a physician, went blind in one eye from clots in his retinal arteries and veins. I'm told that his ophthalmologists all agree as to the most likely cause. So many healthcare people I know are having "mystery" illnesses.

This won't come as a surprise to many, but... I know lots of physicians who won't publicly say that early Covid treatments work, but without hesitation, they prescribe them for their friends & family.

You could be a great doctor. You could also be a wonderful human being. But if you keep your head down due to fear & don't speak up to protect your patients, who are you helping?

In a few years, when 20-20 hindsight renders truth undeniable, too many scientists will be overcome by guilt that they remained silent while the world went bananas. There's no time like the present.

Physicians used to be independent, critical thinkers. The doctor-patient relationship used to be sacred. Now too many of us have been reduced to algorithm-using, order-taking, extensions of pharma & gov't--little more than PR reps. Physician, heal thyself.

Never have I seen so many docs quit their jobs for ethical reasons, or get fired because they refused to tow the line. Being a doctor used to come with job security. Not anymore. At least not for those intent on practicing patient-centered medicine.

Hospital systems are buying up medical practices all over. I spoke to a doc recently who sold his practice to one & now works for the hospital. He said: Now he has no freedom to practice how he wants, has to follow hospital guidelines, & can't speak up or he'll get fired.

Hypocritical oath-- I have a patient who fully recovered from Covid, has antibodies, & was refused entry into a doctor's office. Troubling from human rights/healthcare equity standpoints, but also because it displays rabid ignorance on the part of the doctor & medical staff.

We're in the midst of perhaps the greatest miscarriage of medical justice in the history of medicine. The nearly complete erosion of trust in our healthcare system couldn't be more well-deserved.

Why is it that I'm seeing young adults I know getting sudden, severe neurologic diseases? Not sure if this is part of a disturbing trend, or I just happen to have some unlucky people in my inner circle.

I have a patient whose primary care doc refused to see her because she's unvaccinated. I remember a time when compassion, ethics, & science were cornerstones of medicine.

This probably won't surprise anyone, but it has to be said--I've now heard the same thing from at least 10 different ultrasound technicians: They're seeing clots. Lots of clots.

"...virus contains tiny chunk of DNA that matches sequence patented by Moderna THREE YEARS before pandemic..." "...one in 3 trillion chance Covid developed the code naturally..." Yet there have been no hearings. No repercussions. Just an ethical vacuum.

The practice of medicine has withered. I'm now embarrassed by what I see almost every day. And the major medical societies have devolved to becoming servants of pharma just like mainstream media.

How many have died due to anti-science propaganda against early treatments for Covid? It's a huge crime that likely won't ever see justice. I imagine a few hundred years from now, sociologists will look back at how messed up we were as a species that we allowed this to happen.

Cheap, effective outpatient Covid treatments are ridiculed. The well-documented superior protection of Covid natural immunity is ignored. This is anti-science. There are many tools against Covid, but only the ones that make billions for a select few companies are embraced.

Common Covid mistake: Waiting 3 days to get pcr, then 1.5 days for results. Sees doc at 5 days in. Better way: Home testing at 1st symptom, repeat every 12 hours x 4. Early treatments: Monoclonals, fluvoxamine, ivermectin, anti-androgens, vit D, zinc, & many others save lives.

Over 25 RCT's supporting ivermectin & and it's on the prohibited list. Yet one optimistic press release about molnupiravir, without a single peer-reviewed RCT yet, puts it on the fast-track for EUA. And FDA wonders why the public has lost faith in them.

Docs are taught in med school that 90% of the info we need to make medical decisions comes from listening to patients. Somehow that's been replaced with an over-reliance on lab tests & medical guidelines shoving square pegs into round holes. Don't stray from the simple wisdom.

When someone has cancer, the community rallies. People run 10K's to raise money, bring food, & offer to babysit. When someone has ME/CFS, Lyme+, or another marginalized chronic condition, they're told to think positively & get a hobby. This. Has. To. Change.

Now, 2 years later, much of what had been labeled "misinformation"--from Covid to politics--has turned out to be true. Those enforcing censorship are not the arbiters of truth--They need to be stripped of their capacity to prevent free speech. Happy Saturday~

I interviewed the head of a major Long Covid academic center when we were writing the Covid chapter for Chronic. She said Long Covid was psychosomatic. I controlled my visceral reaction. I said, "What if you're wrong?" She said, "I'm not." The danger of deferring to experts.

In a recent visit, a patient was upset that so many of what the news had called conspiracy theories have since turned out to be true. Yep. The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off.

Long Covid is likely due to a combo of persistent viral infection, endothelial damage, & reactivation of other common infections. To think of it only as a post-infectious syndrome that we'll never solve & whose symptoms we should just treat, I think, is harmful--Treat the cause.

It amazes me how so many healthcare providers have so quickly adapted to parroting the new normal. I would argue that it's not normal for young adults to be getting heart attacks & strokes. And it's not normal for all-cause-mortality to be at horrifyingly high levels.

Open letter to my colleagues- Dear Dr: If you've ever seen a chronic illness patient who you've treated disrespectfully because you couldn't figure out the cause of illness, please take your head out of your ass before you see the next one. Sincerely, Steven Phillips, MD

Dear Docs, Think twice before ignoring the next chronic illness patient who is clinging to life & sanity--Almost all my patients today had medical-PTSD. Before sneering at the next one, remember--It could just as easily be you, or someone you love. Rule #1--Listen to them.

Just heard--Nurse forced to work with Covid after 5 day quarantine, but still symptomatic & rapid antigen+. Hospital admins: "Testing not part of the guidelines." MD/nursing shortage after firing healthy MD's/nurses with natural immunity, & now this. This is why you fail.

Twitter would be a much safer & truthful place if it weren't so full of paid pharma shills. BS spread by some docs would be laughable if it weren't so dangerous. A good place to start would be for Twitter to make docs on here disclose all sources of funding. RT if you agree.

We had it all. Amazing scientists. Great data. We could have saved our species from needless death & chronic illness. We just needed freedom of scientific speech. Instead, vile & corrupt gov't/pharma/tech/media entanglements imposed a truth embargo. To the misery of us all.

"The pandemic represents a rare but narrow window of opportunity to reflect, reimagine, and reset our world" - Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman, World Economic Forum. Ah...now the global anti-science Covid policies are starting to make sense. Chilling.

I used to wonder about how it must be to live in a country without free speech. Where corrupt leaders were unfailingly praised by a fawning, cringeworthy media. Where anyone speaking truth to power was attacked. So. About that. Don't have to wonder anymore.

Spoke to a beloved, highly-respected by his peers, 100% mainstream, neurologist: He said, "Ever hear of a book called The Real Anthony Fauci?" Me: "Um, yes." Him: "I'm reading it now, incredibly well-documented. It's really something." I agree. It really is.

Chronic illness patients often get misdiagnosed with psychiatric conditions without justification. Anxiety, hypochondriasis, depression, somatization disorder, Munchausen's, etc. Misdiagnosis with a fabricated psychiatric condition can cause a very real one: PTSD.

They had over a yr to get enough monoclonals for all of us. Fail. They dismissed & vilified cheap, effective early treatments. Fail. One fatal error after another. One foul lie after another. I'm not a political guy, but I really can't wait to vote in the next elections.

Prisoner isolation is time-limited because it's considered torture. But not Covid patients--Isolated from families for weeks, only to die alone. We couldn't visit my Dad in his nursing home for over a year. Society can be judged on how it treats its most vulnerable. We failed.

I tried to order mab's for a patient today. The woman said, "We're all out--And I mean completely out." I was told to call back on Monday & hope that a shipment comes in. The fed gov't's failures have been epic. They are the stuff of legend. It's not a tweet--It's another book.

Science has shifted away from inconvenient truths. Instead, many choose to conform to a manufactured consensus, eyes shut against questioning the narrative. Makes me want to open a pizza shop.

2021 was a dark year for medical ethics. That studies are not being published en masse exposing the breaches; That scientific & gov't regulatory agencies supported a global experiment without informed consent & are not being investigated; It shows the enormity of the problem.

Just heard it again from another medical practice, this is about the 5th: They're seeing an unprecedented increase in various cancers. I'm not seeing it in my practice. Maybe because lots of meds we use also happen to have significant anti-cancer activity as a side benefit.

FDA rejects Covid emergency use authorization for cheap, generic fluvoxamine despite 2 RCT's demonstrating efficacy. Drugs with minimal efficacy & high toxicity received EUA's: Remdesivir & Molnupiravir. But safe & cheap doesn't appear good enough.

My Mom's 89. My stepfather is 90. We're all doing Covid rapid antigen tests just before getting together for Thanksgiving--Regardless of vaccine status--As anyone can spread Covid.

SARS Cov2 impacts immune function. Lyme & bartonella have shockingly high rates of asymptomatic infection in the general population--Both can become symptomatic after Covid hits the immune system. Time to take this major player in Long Covid seriously.

Over 20 years ago, a world-renowned researcher told me that I couldn't publicize research proving that Lyme was a chronic infection, that the scientific community wasn't ready for it. I remember thinking, "How did this person ever become world-renowned?"

Please ask her how she had come to the scientific conclusion that "vaccinated people cannot transmit the virus," when the monkey trials didn't show sterilization. Does CDC plan to compensate the public for reckless errors costing lives? All her errors won't fit into a tweet.

I just mentioned ivermectin's usefulness in Covid to an old friend & he was shocked. He's not heard of it from American news. Ivermectin--It should be screamed from every rooftop. Instead, silence from American media. Many lives can still be saved.

4 mos ago, my mom & stepfather, 90 & 91, both vaxxed, got seriously ill from Covid. Primary care doc didn't offer any early treatment options. None. They needed intensive treatment to stay, not only out of the hospital, but alive. 2+ yrs into this & most docs have no clue.
