I started writing ZeroSpin to share information & perspective that you might have difficulty finding elsewhere, not knowing if it would ever find a home. Now that it's a Substack Bestseller, all I can say is thank you & I hope it helps someone you love.

If we want to help folks, we need to approach medical puzzles with humility & open eyes/minds. Humility should be taught in med school--There's slim, if any, chance of docs who may be inclined toward arrogance to develop it on their own afterward.

My wife has #MECFS Please Doctors, don’t spew ignorance on #LongCovid or #MECFS Just be humble and say. I don’t understand it. I wasn’t taught this in the 2-3 year of Med School course work. Nobody expects you to be omniscient. Read literature from Ph.Ds. Domain Experts

Just because this pandemic is rife with corruption, doesn't mean that I don't take Covid seriously. This virus, even the acutely milder variants, can still be a beast. I treat my patients as early as possible with multiple therapies to prevent acute & chronic bad outcomes.

I never cease to be amazed at how heavily trauma plays into chronic illness. Quick, durable, drug-free trauma therapy (EMDR) has made dramatic differences in the quality of life of so many of my patients. It doesn't work for everyone, but I've seen it help most.

I still know of docs who are misinformed about this basic info: "Protective Effect of Vitamin D Supplementation on COVID-19-Related Intensive Care Hospitalization and Mortality: Definitive Evidence from Meta-Analysis and Trial Sequential Analysis"

Valley fever is a miserable, often missed, difficult to treat, potentially serious & chronic illness. That this kid wound up in ICU, diagnosed only because a friend suggested testing for it--That tells you a lot about the lack of awareness among doctors.

When gov't Covid health policies seem contrary to public welfare, it's probably because they're contrary to public welfare. Sometimes things aren't as they seem, but most of the time, they're just as they seem.

Friend: My family believes in conspiracy theories. Me: Like what? Friend: Like, that Covid came from a lab. Me: Well...there's good evidence that it did. What else ya got? Friend: Seriously? Me: Very.

A clever patient with a lot of valuable life experience told me, "Corruption is literally everywhere." It's a long road from being a fallen to a risen people, but it's one worth walking. It's longer still when we keep slipping back further every year.

The denial of the obvious by pharma & gov't is enraging. "It's not a duck. It's a water bird with a wide bill that quacks, waddles, & is cute as hell. And it rhymes with puck. But it's not a duck, so don't even go there."

‘Extremely aggressive’ internet censorship spreads in the world’s democracies" I use multiple different search engines to get a balanced perspective on controversial topics. One that I use a lot is Brave (no financial relationship). It's quick & easy.

When identical, painfully-false messages are released simultaneously from multiple "experts" across multiple news channels, that's a sign of a propaganda campaign at work. Sadly, they're effective.

I've been noticing ageism in medicine since med school, but I think it's reached new lows. I've seen seniors being denied basic care when they should be cherished.

If there is a Santa, I'd ask him to end gain of function research and start Nuremberg trials for those responsible for this genocide. And a special palm tree that can grow in the CT winters.

Hospital systems have bought up medical practices all over, resulting in quasi-socialized medicine. There is no freedom to practice medicine here. They follow the guidelines set forth by the hospital system. Period. End of story.

I'm seeing docs prescribe early Covid treatments for themselves & their family, but withhold these same treatments from patients. I've seen a similar hypocrisy with Lyme: Docs refusing to treat patients for more than 3 weeks, but treating themselves for Lyme for over a year.

I'm not against drugs that make pharma money, as long as they're safe & effective. I'm against the sabotage, dismissal, & marginalization of cheap, safe, & effective repurposed drugs & supplements than can help save the lives of Covid patients, & there are many in that category.

To docs about to sell your practice to your local hospital healthcare system & stay on as an employee of that system: Be prepared to kiss your freedom to practice medicine goodbye & have big brother looking over your shoulder 24/7. I can't unhear the horrors I've heard.
