We already have a well-tested, easy-to-use protocol for sharing decentralized art on the internet. It’s called BitTorrent.

  2. I wish *you* personally understood that we are on the brink of civilizational destruction, and that *you* have to choose a side: collapse, or transformation. There are no more bystanders, just those trying to save lives, and those complicit with mass death. 1/

  3. Has anyone tried building wooden structures as a means of removing CO2 from the atmosphere? I’m imagining a 50-story ziggurat made of logs could store carbon more densely than a forest of the same size.

Lots of 💖👍👏👏for Blockchain 🐥🐥🐥🧑‍🌾🧺🧺 in my class today. Paired well with Stuart Hall, The West and The Rest. Can't recommend this book enough and totally readable for academics and non-academics alike. In fact if you are a technologist, I'd so read this book

I am shocked that has decided to allow RMS to rejoin their board of directors. Clearly the organization does not prioritize creating a safe and welcoming environment for all parts of the free software community. I will not speak at their events again.

I admire your elite archive skills. But elitism is a bad look.

If you’re a professional archivist who discourages non-professionals from learning how to archive stuff, you’re not being helpful.

I’ve been a fan of the BBC micro:bit (educational microcontroller) for the past few years, and I just got the v2 model with built-in microphone and speaker. It’s great — way easier to get started than a Pi or Arduino.
