    This is sad to hear, especially for print journalism

    Five top editors at Sunset magazine, including the editor-in-chief, have quit. Some freelance writers haven’t been paid for months. The holiday issue has been delayed until nearly Christmas, in part because of a lack of advertising.

    Whoah - looks like our Congressional orientation had a lot more lobbyists than we thought. This is not okay. Lobbyists are not impartial - they are employed to influence legislation. 60+ incoming members were listening to panelists without knowing which were hired lobbyists.

    The Harvard freshman orientation criticized by / featured at least 10 lobbyists & CEOs as panelists, according to a schedule of events One itinerary identifies these lobbyists as former members, not disclosing their lobbying gigs

    Everybody appreciates kindness, but unfortunately our modern education system, with its materialistic goals, doesn’t have much room for inner values. We need to make people more aware of such inner values on the basis of scientific findings, common sense and common experience.
