Imagine hearing a woman describe getting a $1,000 bonus and a tax cut and saying it would help buy a home, and then Googling how much the average home costs in the town she’s from to try to portray her as an idiot, like @KatyTurNBC did. Incredible.

Many in the Acela Media think people outside the coasts are idiots. Very rarely do they put these opinions on display so publicly, like
@KatyTurNBC did.Show this thread

Katy very clearly said "help buy a home" - not "buy a home". You guys are so quick to criticize women that you can't even slow down enough to read all the words they used.
-
Gimme a break. Katy was saying $1k isn't enough and this criticism is fair. She can take it and you don't have to play the woman card like she's helpless. Jesus.
-
If "Red State" is going after female pundits and not the male ones, damn straight I'm pulling the woman card. As it turns out, Katy evidently doesn't read their tweets, she can't be bothered with such insipid views.
-
Please. That's nonsense. And it sets back women far more than this legitimate criticism of an argument she made. It wasn't even personal.
-
You know what bugs me? Women who think their arguments can't be criticized because they're women. It makes us all look like weak irrational people. Grow up

If everyone thinks that $1000 is an inconsequential amount of money I’ll be happy to provide you all with my Paypal address so you can prove to yourselves and everyone here how little it means to you.
-
The criticism isn’t that $1,000 is small, it’s that it’s not enough. Corporation are getting massive tax cuts, pocketing most of it in the form of stock buy backs that enrich the already wealthy, then throwing some crumbs the workers to satisfy them.
-
Ordinary Americans should be getting more of the benefit of the tax cuts instead of massive tax cuts for corporations that are increasing the national debt which will be paid back later by us ordinary Americans.

you're right about
@KatyTurNBC tweet, but the GOP attempt to obscure the lopsidedness of the tax cut with an "all crumbs are important" message is equally offensive. -
Especially when her CEO got 10,000 times that.

Seeing as how every single Democrat voted against the tax cuts, and cannot therefore take credit for the wondrous ripple effects throughout our economy, all their allies can do is minimize their significance. Problem is, they look detached from reality trying to do so.

I think you missed the point. Remember the last Dem platform, for means tested free tuition to state universities? Compare THAT to $1,000.00.

Millions would have benefitted. And Its like you completely ignore the economic success between 92-2000, 2010-2016. Low growth Democrats... easily available evidence indicates otherwise.

would have

Elections have consequences
Americans don't want free stuff at the expense of liberty
Families &workers lost ground since 1992:
stagnant wages
lower standard of living
shrinking middleclass
more earning lowwages, working multiple parttime jobs
higher debt
#DemExit -
At least Dems controlled the crash of the stock market, and saved the automobile industry to improve the economy which Hitler claims credit. I would rather be a liberal communist than an anal retentive republican
