Then this is a terrible plan. He would be better off picking a candidate, campaigning for and more importantly raising more for said candidate. Even if that person loses he will still be viewed as an asset if he does well in his role

Seems like he’s doing it. I like him but I just think it’s simply too late, and I’ve already found candidates I like better than him. I was a constituent of him but that doesn’t mean I have to endorse him.
