We believe this policy balances the urgency with which we must address the public health threat of youth e-cigarette use with the potential role that e-cigarettes may play in helping adult smokers transition completely away from combustible tobacco.

We will continue to use our full regulatory authority to tackle this alarming crisis that’s affecting children, families, schools and communities. We’ll also closely monitor the use rates of all e-cigarette products and take additional steps to address youth use as necessary.

If youth use was your concern, why did you leave the current #1 youth products (Puff Bar, Posh Bar, etc.) on the market? You haven't solved the problem. Almost like they are purposely framing up the next crisis. I saw Juul coming and I am telling you this product is hot garbage as far as our public image goes and youth vaping

Dr. Hahn, while no one underage should use e-cigs, data suggests that illegal underage use has moved to unregulated black markets, where no rules for products, cheaper w/ no taxes, unlimited flavored names, social distribution and no quality control.
-
Two questions: 1) is it possible that some policies further accelerate growth of black markets? and 2) what is
@FDA plan to address black market e-cig products if this is the primary way underage users are illegally vaping? Would be great to hear your thoughts.

I am sorry but I have to ask: according to the 2019 NYTS, 77.7% of youths who tried e-cigarettes did so NOT because of flavors. So, why ban flavored pods that also are used by adults to transition from cigarettes to less harmful vapor products? What happened to data & science?
-
Because they couldn't care less about smokers, ex-smokers, data or science.

And I had high hopes for you. Do y’all read from the same script ? Does this look like an “epidemic”? Rhetoric doesn’t make truth.

Thank you for also considering the adults, like me who have successfully quit smoking with flavored e-liquid, now what will you do to ensure that in 4 months this industry won't be demolished?
