Maybe it's coming? The action is fuelled by planned phase out of early retirement advantages and raising pension age by 2 years (from 62 to 64). In the UK we have seen all the above, the raising from 65 to 67 with ground seeded for a further rise to 75 and robbery of WASPI women.

The French, it seems to me, are protesting the 1%'s greed, income/wealth disparity and more attempts at wealth redistribution -upwards, via pension 'reform' etc. The reason it's not front and center daily is simple, the 1% owns virtually all media. They control the message.

I do not think UK folk would be inspired by French Strikes After all the UK has had a decade of Cuts and THAT sparked no mass protest or General Strike so you have to ask a deeper question Why Do UK Voters Refuse To Work Collectively?

French pension is 60% of average wage and for some it is as high as 60% of 7 best yes Macron wants to increase retirement age from 62 to 64 yes for majority some in public sector will see retirement age from 50 to 55 and others 55 to 60 UK state pension 29% of avg wage
