Brigette was put on PTR on Feb28th. Released to live servers on March 20th. Not put in Competitive until April 30th. That is 61 days of testing. 4 Days after she is put in competitive, a nerf is announced.

As everyone knows, Mercy was busted for months. Jeff told me you can't get it right on the first try. That comment still rings in my head every time I see how long they let their first try go completely unchecked, despite all the opportunities they create for themselvs to check

Maybe, just maybe, they've found that people spend more money on lootboxes when a new character is busted and people are eager to play them/get all the skins for their new main. Then they tone it down later. PTR is just hype time.

That was my thought aswell. Make new heroes really strong so ppl feel great when they pick them up and might buy skins etc

The problem is that it leaves a bad taste. Even if in the end things are fixed after weeks some bad taste is still there. I really like that dive is not a thing rn but I wish just Brigitte would have been balanced better

What are you implying here, that maps are more heavily tested than heroes? Sorry for my lack of understanding.

He's implying that they're incompetent at making actual changes before a hero/map launches. 61 Days of PTR (A place where things are put to test and get feedback on), and live public matches, and no changes/feedback considerations were taken at all until she went live on comp.

While that’s true, knowing something isn’t right is the easy part, they’ve failed on practically every occasion to actually fix the imbalance and instead they just end up nerfing shit instead of actually balancing things
