Srsly after almost 3 weeks of waiting to move, we find out our lease is canceled 2 days before we are about to leave. They say we told them we didn't want it on phone. haha, no? Say they left messages. No Say our phone couldn't receive messages. No. Never emailed

Lawyer up. Not joking. Landlords - as a general rule - are subhuman garbage with an uncanny knack for taking people's money. If ever something smells bad when you're dealing with a landlord, they're acting in bad faith because they're trying to fleece you or piss on you.

You can use this against them. If they denied your lease, you're entitled to a refund at the least. If they keep changing their story like this, it's signaling to something far more concerning and you could take it to the police, if anything.
