The disputed evidence of benefit for routine male circumcision US-financed, was on ‘consenting’ adult Africans, with ever-growing evidence of futility and harm. It is excruciating for infants who can’t consent or resist. Many medical assoc’ns oppose.

Surprised to see defending genital cutting of boys. Any marginal health claims are highly contested. No national medical, paediatric, surgical or urological society in the world that I'm aware of recommends routine circumcision of all boys as a health intervention.

Astonishing that so many people choose to turn a blind eye to this form of genital cutting, apparently accepting that a religious/cultural ritual is more important that the actual human rights of vulnerable newborns.

Wrexham faces a budget gap of £9m this year. Maintaining discriminatory and discretionary spending on free transport to faith schools means other public services will now face cuts. Disappointing to see bowing to pressure from the faith schools lobby.

What kind of shyster looks at the state of religious freedom around the world and decides to blame secularism? Secularism champions religious freedom, and challenges religious privilege. It is privilege that the Archbishop wants to preserve.

Another Orthodox Jewish faith school caught censoring textbooks. Shocking to see school leaders demonstrating such scant regard for pupils' human rights and future prospects. It's all about preserving the faith.

The DfE's own assessment says a wave of new selective faith schools in England will discriminate through their admissions, teaching and employment. It says they'll undermine social cohesion. The government must think again over its decision to fund them

This piece contains an astonishingly childish and dishonest attack on secularists from the director of Scotland's Catholic Parliamentary Office. Shopping centres choosing not to have nativity scenes is no reason to throw your toys out of your pram. He should grow up.

“Warsi paints a worryingly monolithic picture of British Muslims, whereas they are amongst the world’s most diverse.” Worthwhile read in on Baroness Warsi's troubling reaction to criticism of her push for an ‘Islamophobia’ definition.
