TFW you're shooting the morning moon and a flock of Double-crested Cormorants flies through the frame just as you press the button! Sometimes the photo gods smile upon us.

  6. It was very difficult to make this video of the moon moving slowly across the frame sound interesting in 280 characters. As I reread it, I realize I failed miserably to make it sound interesting. It's better than it sounds! I promise! There's groovy music!

  7. When viewing the moon with the naked eye, its trek across the sky is inexorably slow, but with a long telephoto lens you have to adjust the camera every few seconds to keep the moon in the same location in the frame. Here's a video of the moon's motion.

  15. OK Twitterverse... I need your help. I'm entering a couple photos in my local camera club's monthly competition and I'm stuck choosing my entries. Theme is monochrome. Please let me know which of these two shots you prefer. I'll ask about two others in a minute. Thanks! 2/2

  20. Apologies for tooting my own horn... The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society - New Brunswick (CPAWS NB) did a little profile of me on their social media channels. I'm honoured to share my passion for wildlife photography with a broader audience!
