Although it seems we did not prevail, I will not stop being a force in this district and this city. We will take lessons learned and apply them to 2024. I will continue serving with West of Twin Peaks, the Veteran's Commission, and continue cleaning up neighborhoods. Thanks all!

Great! So we can have flavored tobacco back again? We can have smoking in restaurants and bars back again? Let's do it!

Many people want to consume legal cannabis while socializing with others. And many want to do it while drinking coffee, eating a muffin or listening to music. There is no good reason from an economic, health, safety, or fairness standpoint that the state should make that illegal. twitter.com/KQEDnews/statuโ€ฆ

I don't know how Bill Maher does it, combining sharp social commentary seamlessly with biting, painful truth and comedy...

As a psych & addictions nurse, I agree harm reduction is the wrong approach. It is heralded by social workers and policy makers who benefit from a big system. The true way out is long term inpatient care. We must return to that model - itโ€™s cheaper and time has proven it works.

Oakland - why do we still have an eviction moratoriums after THREE years? I spoke to elders today who are at risk of losing generational wealth due to young tenants who refuse to pay. Thereโ€™s more than one side to this quagmire. Itโ€™s irresponsible at this point to continue.

Furthermore, no reasonable person thinks 5 million dollar reparations is feasible anyway. You'd have to be a nutcase or have the IQ of office furniture to think that this is something that should be seriously considered. Most politicians are just pretending to go along with it...

Iโ€™m a Black teacher & I am perfectly able to teach Black US History without CRT informed ideology as an overlay. Activists are conflating ideology with history. These activists would be aghast if teachers taught the Civil War through the ideological lens of the โ€œ lost cause.โ€

...fortunately, most stuck elevators can be reactivated by resetting the power switch. If it's a piston elevator (normally found in buildings 6 floors or less) this is located in the elevator machine room below the elevator shaft. If it's a traction elevator, it's normally...

@LondonBreed a man in a wheelchair just got stuck in the Cadillac Hotel elevator again. And our maintenance man got him out. Even though he's not qualified or licensed to do so. This is what passes as safety at the Cadillac Hotel. Weekly. Funding by HSH

Instead of 5 million dollar reparations, a much wiser and more effective use of that money would be to invest in SFUSD schools, especially ones in need of repair or in low income neighborhoods. Bret Harte on Gilman Ave, or James Lick on Castro and Jersey Sts. would be examples...

Common sense (which both Hillary Ronen and Scott Wiener lack) would be to arrest drug dealers but what do I know...
