Psaki then offered up another blatant falsehood. She said releasing illegal minors “does not mean they get to stay in the U.S. It means their cases are adjudicated.” 96 percent of minors transferred to HHS for resettlement, going back to Obama Admin, are still in the U.S. (5/7).

About 9 in 10 removal orders for this population are issued in absentia. But even the exceptions who do show are not removed (because they are not in custody). And the new DHS priorities make clear no one will be removed for failure to appear in, or comply with, imm court. (6/7)
