And vice chair Kevin Mack said he was concerned developers had promoted a planned connection to local Gullah culture but hadn’t been able to establish a relationship with community leaders.

Also board announced a break after presentations and public comment and that it would return after an executive session, without voting to enter executive session or giving a reason for a closed discussion. Returned to vote properly after another reporter and I asked what was up.
