When you say VFX are you referring to lighting, particles, shader work or post processing work on render scenes in videos.

Also, if youre artistic, but have a technical bent, or technical, and have an artist bent, youll be worth your weight in gold. It doesnt matter if each piece is good instead of great, the mix is powerful and rare. That goes for most cross discipline folks.
